I haven’t posted anything because I haven’t been working on knives. But I am working! I did finish this Cru Wear slicer and it’s available

What have I been doing? and what will I be doing for the next month

I decided to take a break from making knives to jump start my poor French language skills. So I’m putting in more time daily with studying French

I need to finish setting up my shop properly and installing the flooring I bought.

Tomorrow is my third required French civics class

Then tomorrow evening I take an overnight train to Paris where I will hang out for a few weeks. I’ll be forging some @apexultrasteel . I have a student coming for 2 days. It’s my first overnight train and I booked a couchette to sleep.

Also I’ll be visiting a machine dealer near Chambly in search of a used mill as I want to get back into slipjoint folders.

I’ll be back in September to work on the Apexultra orders

I bought a table used on a website called Lebencoi

I bought a table used on a website called Lebencoin which is similar to the USA craigslist. It’s a custom-made table with a welded frame with a sliding removable wooden top. The gentleman I bought it from is retired and probably in his 60s or 70s and he told me it was his father’s office desk. So I’m using the table top as a backdrop for this knife with a handle of an ironwood cap and bog oak. I love vintage finds made from quality materials and construction
